RHYMES & REASON
  1. EYES OF FREEDOM
FIVE BEACHES ( Too many lost souls )
Copyright © Leslie Walter Aug. 2015
When we celebrate with sparkling Champagne, with wines from the Rhône and Loire, give a thought to the lives that were lost at Utah and Omaha. When we pamper ourselves with sweet perfumes, scents and fragrances from Provence, remember those who fell at Juno and Gold liberating France. When we wake up as free Europeans, sharing lives of mutual accord, think of the young men who were cut down on a beach that was ill named Sword.
  2. FINEST WHITE
    THE PALETTE OF LIFE
Copyright © Leslie Walter Jul. 2016
We all arrive on earth at a moment of birth with a colour not of our choosing, blending mother and father on the palette of life creates colours unpredictablly amusing. No-one is black and no-one is white, we are all of shades somewhere between, using mother and father as our primary colours fashions pigments previously unseen. Don't use colours to create social divides, or let politics be persuaded by hues, we're all born to live with our given colour, a colour that we didn't choose.
  3. SHEARS OF FATE
    PERSUASION
Copyright © Leslie Walter May. 2017
Our forefathers gave us religions, scriptures for the guidance of man, defined by the wisdom of profits, creeds in Bible, Torah and Quran. In cathedrals, synagogues and mosques, clergy practice their doctrine and prayer, the faithful accept without question the schooling that they receive there. Congrerations absorb with conviction granting preachers utmost respect, but are the sermons simply parochial or directed by persuasive intellect? Are religions meekly serving the brethren, or do they contain a fanatical flaw? If subjected to infiltration by politics they can promote revolution and war.
  4. PAPER WALLS
THE ENCOUNTER & TOUCH THE SKY
Copyright © Leslie Walter Jul. 2018
When minds connect with clairvoyant sight, reasoning provides no explanation. Visualisation through telepathic light, transcends intuitive imagination, providing psychic realisation. I look unto Takamagahara mountain, indeed it reaches high. I sense the coldness of the mountain, where it touches the sky. If you are there so am I.
  5. AUTHENTICITY
    BRING DOWN THE CURTAIN
Copyright © Leslie Walter Oct. 2019
When Sean O'Casey penned his plays he wrote of yesterday, little did he know his tragic tales would echo through today. A Juno and the Paycock world full of misery and rage, where the actors are really dying, the city streets their stage. Through this continuous scene of terror and hate has grown a generation, for whom murders have become the norm, such a dangerous education. Ireland you have a tiring face, can't you heed the warning, it's time to bring the curtain down or you'll be forever mourning. Leslie Walter, Dublin 1988.
